Tamil language antiquity

The Tamil Language antiquity is always looked by others using Sanskrit language.There is no concentrated effort are on in Tamil Nadu about the history of Tamil language and Tamilians so far in a systematic way by creating a separate institution for the purpose.Unless otherwise it is done all the sorts of timing of the Tamil Language will be done.Tholkappium is considered by others as a replica of Sanskit works in certain areas .But why not the other way about should also to be explored.
